Gone are the days when you have to fully rely upon a mechanic for a diagnosis of your vehicle problem and the associated suspicious bills.

All new cars have built in computer units (ECU) that actively measure various operating components around the car.  The car manufacturer builds into this computer detailed test parameters which the ECU self diagnoses and records.

Mechanics usually charge for letting you know what fault your ECU has found when it indicates a fault.  Furthermore, there are many more complex analysis means to determine various root causes of problems which ECUs will not detect.

Our Car Computing Systems have a suite on extra diagnosis tools for analyzing your vehicles performance or problem areas.

The ECU communicates with our system via a vehicle data bus.  The type and form of these buses vary from vehicle to vehicle.  Some of the buses that we cater and plan for include:

  • SAE

  • ISO

  • CAN

  • MOST

This information can be (wirelessly) emailed or faxed to a mechanic for an estimate for repair if required.

This is another area which is under continuous development ,as new lines of thinking materialize, and new vehicles emerge.

Most systems will take approximately 2 hours for two competent car audio fitters to install and test.

If you are able to install a car stereo, you may be able to install our system yourself.

An example configuration is shown below.  This configuration is estimated to take a two man team 8 hours to install.
